Meet our Gala Host: Chanteé Lans – an Emmy and Edward R. Murrow award-winning journalist whose career reflects excellence, impact, and integrity. She currently serves as a reporter and fill-in anchor at WABC-TV Channel 7 Eyewitness News and previously contributed to the New York Times.
Born in Brooklyn, raised on Long Island, Chanteé holds a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Temple University and a master’s degree in Global Development from St. John’s University.
Chanteé has interviewed President Joe Biden. She also covered the Boston marathon bombings, the sexual assault trial of Bill Cosby, and the imprisonment and release of Rapper Meek Mill which prompted criminal justice reform in Pennsylvania and across the United States.
