The New York Association of Black Journalists is accepting applications for First Take, its journalism program for teens. In First Take, New York City-area high school students receive FREE hands-on journalism training in sessions led by media professionals.
The 2026 program will be held on Saturdays, from Feb. 7 to March 14, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at the City University of New York, in Midtown Manhattan.
Teens may apply at www.nyabj.org by Dec. 7, 2025.
