Rodney Williams serves as the NSBE Director of Technical Development. With nearly 20 years of experience as a Senior Engineer, Program Manager and Consultant, he has led major initiatives across multiple industries, including engineering, technology, and large-scale program delivery. His career spans multiple sectors – including engineering, manufacturing, technology, utilities, and enterprise program delivery – where he has led complex projects, supported infrastructure modernization, and driven operational improvements for Fortune 500 companies and public agencies. A long-standing NSBE leader, Rodney is deeply committed to professional development, STEM advancement, and expanding knowledge and opportunities for Engineers. In his current role, he focuses on creating impactful programming, elevating technical skills, and connecting NSBE NYC members with emerging trends in engineering, AI, and technology.

Angela Thomas is a technical professional with 15+ years of experience leading AI-enabled data platforms, data strategy, and large-scale technology portfolios across startups, Fortune 500 companies, and highly regulated environments. Her work sits at the intersection of data infrastructure, governance, privacy, security, and automation, helping organizations transform complex data ecosystems into scalable, intelligent platforms that drive business outcomes. She specializes in Digital Data Core Platforms, AI-ready data architectures, ISO-aligned security, IaC, access management, and next-generation automation, leading cross-functional teams through enterprise transformation. With an Executive MBA, Lean Six Sigma, Change Management, and cloud certifications, Angela brings a balanced perspective of strategy, execution, and people leadership. She’s deeply passionate about advancing responsible AI, data-driven decision-making, and inclusive innovation, and I’m committed to mentoring the next generation of technologists and leaders within the community.
