As the Director of Social Events, Gylianne is dedicated to creating meaningful and engaging experiences that bring the community together through connection, fun, and impact. She has been a part of NSBE for 10 years, starting during her freshman year. Her passion for community building goes back to high school when she was first introduced to robotics as a sophomore. Being exposed to STEM so early and seeing the impact of mentorship and representation showed her how important a strong professional network can be. That experience fuels her commitment to giving back and helping others find their place in engineering. Outside of NSBE, Gylianne works as a Technical Support Engineer at Opentrons, where she supports customers using robotics platforms in scientific laboratories. She holds a Bachelors of Science from Georgia Tech and is completing her Masters of Science in Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins, which she will finish in December.
