What a night!! The inaugural Black Tech Honors Awards Gala which took place on Thursday, September 24, 2026 was a night of elevated networking, savory dining, fashion forward elegance and a celebration of black excellence of unparalleled proportions…it was just an amazing event! Our venue, the Lighthouse Rooftop, was lit just right so our guest could enjoy the fabulous views of the NYC skyline while DJ Commish played some quintessential R&B that gave the evening just the right vibe. From the Brooklyn Technical High School NSBE Jr chapter with their advisor to the parents of many of our honorees, we had a full circle moment of Black excellence represented in the room. Not only was everyone inspired by the amazing accomplishments of our honorees but also appreciative of their humble beginnings and stories of endurance despite tribulation. The most common expression heard through out the night was “Is this really the 1ST Black Tech Honors?” because the energy in the room and execution of the event, was reminiscent of a well oiled machine that had been running for quite sometime. We hope to have many more Black Tech Honors Awards Gala as we strive to honor more blacks in STEM related fields and professions. Together, we celebrated achievement, honored service, strengthened connections, and created a foundation for what comes next.
