WHY NSBE: As an undergraduate student at a predominantly white institution, NSBE provided me with a vision people typically do not see. That vision was a plethora of successful black engineers. The organization has become not only a support system, but also a family that I love to serve. I have served in many roles including Rochester Institute of Technology’s chapter Vice-President, Region 1 Publications and Region 1 Upstate Zone Chair (2017-18).
FIELD: I currently work in the medical device field, working on innovative devices to mitigate progressive eye diseases.
HOME: Brooklyn born and raised with Guyanese and Jamaican spice.
FAVORITE: My favorite thing to do is anything crafty. I am constantly learning how to do new things and trying to bring my newly learned craft to life.
